What the F?

The Thriftsore Boratorium is a collaboration, with emphasis on lab, of like minded individuals that are focused on circuit bending, hacking, modifying, accommodating, rearranging, playing, creating and experimenting with electronic devices. The thriftsore boratorium explores the nature of the present by rearranging and modifying found devices and aquired technology in the manner of roth mobot's Guild of Acquired Technology. With such direction we recycle, reuse, and re appropriate potentially lost artifacts. We believe this creates a “better” environment and a "better" human. Concepts and ideas explored are Circuit Bending, Circuit Modification, Circuit Design, Circuit Chance, Robotics, Visual Design, Audio, Video, Computers, Video Games, Toys, R/C, Broadcasting, Alternative Energy.

Our forsight is to have a place where like minded individuals can gather to create, perform, and discuss the future and present of electronics and art. As things pick up we will offer items and materials for sale to save you the hassle, and time, of trying to put it all together yourself. So bring a toy, musical instrument, radio, or whatever you have in mind to bend, modify, or hack and chances are the thriftsore boratorium will help you make it happen. Not only that it will probably be documented with audio, video, and pictures and then thrown up on this website.

thejunkyardcatalyst and 1/2 Mang have taught a few circuit bending sessions and are very comfortable and generous with sharing their knowledge of electronics and art, so we're serious about this, but not serious to be a drag.

Here is living proof of the Thriftsore Boratorium.
1/2 Mang brought himself to one gathering and look what happened.
originally his face was Baby Alive
thejunkyardcatalyst had removed her latex face to put on an Operation Brain Surgery. 1/2 Mang decided to reappropriate it over his head and it was agreed that 1/2 Mang's inner child never looked so good.
